SEmal TRee

2 .1.a) 'Their' refers to the rosy pastors. b) The semal tree's flowers are a bright crimson and the starlings are rose coloured. The flowers are plenty and the birds come in flocks as if to compete with the flowers. 2.a) The residents of honey combs. b) The males or drones that do no work, the females that lay eggs and the workers that build the giant combs. 3.a) 'They' refer to the two hunters who were resting under the semal tree and were unaware of the giant combs. b) one of the hunters lit a pipe and as the smoke rose up the bees came down They jumped and remained in a river for hours.
